About The China Guide The China Guide is a branch of CITS (China International Travel Service), one of Chinas largest and oldest travel agencies. We are independently managed by Americans in Beijing and offer and execute our own tours. All our guides, drivers and vehicles are certified for tourism and fully insured. The China Guide has a mixture of western and Chinese staff who handle various aspects of your tour to assure everything is up to western standards. We specialize in custom private tours for small groups, families, business travellers and student groups. We also run small group tours to Sleep on the Great Wall. The China Guide gives travellers their own flexible tour, with quality and flexibility not found in standard group tours. Combining budget with quality service and experience, we consider your trip our own and give you the type of tour we would want ourselves. Whether you are a small group, family with children or a business traveller we customize the experience to best suit your schedule and expectations. The China Guide is managed by Peter Danford, an American who is based in Beijing with his wife and 3 children. The two older children, age 6 and 4 attend Chinese kindergarten.
