| Day 2 |
- Met at your hotel by your private English speaking guide.
- Visit the colorful local market in Lijiang old town.
- Free time (lunch not included) Dinner with a variety of local specialties.Includes standard drinks.
- 8pm Dongba Palace Naxi Performance - Inspired by the Tibetan buddhist tradition and other cultures, a Dongba shaman will perform ceremonies and music on ancient instruments as well as singing and dancing.
- Tickets are the best, Grade A.Hotel

| Day 3 |
- Met at your hotel by your private English speaking guide.
- Tiger Leaping Gorge: Drive in your private vehicle 3 hours to the Yangze River. On the way we stop for scenic views.
- Lunch in the small town of Qiaotou.Every day Qiaotou is visited by the Yi minority people who come down from the hills to shop. Some days are market days so you will experience this if possible. We walk through town before eating. Chinese style lunch includes standard drinks.
- Hike 3 hours along the Yangze river valley passing through villages and farmland. Fantastic views of the Yangze river and the Jade Dragon Snow mountain.
- Check into the cosy Naxi Family Guest House. Famous for having a view of the Jade Dragon Snow mountain. Our host "Mr. Nice" was given to him by Michael Palin.
- The hotel has rooms with private bathroom and hot shower. Dinner in the guest house, Chinese style with local flavor.

| Day 4 |
- Leisurely hike to the Halfway Guest House, about 5 hours through both up and downhill terrain.We stop along the way to take in the views and have lunch at the Tea Horse Guest house. Lunch at Tea Horse Guest House
- Check into the Halfway Guest House.
- Sit on the sunset terrace and look out at the valley and mountains.
- The hotel has rooms with private bathroom and hot shower.
- Dinner in the guest house, Chinese style with local flavor.

| Day 5 |
- After breakfast we do a 3 hour hike through the most stunning scenery in the gorge, mainly downhill.
- We pass the Buddha's pee waterfall where we stop for a tea break.
- Lunch is at Tina's Hotel where we can sit on the terrace and take in views of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the Yangtze river in the gorge.
- Afternoon drive to Zhongdian (4 hours).
- Along the way we will stop at a Yi minority village and a Tibetan village.
- Arrive in Shangri-la and check into the Songtsam Hotel.
- Free time to relax and have a nice Tibetan style dinner in the hotel (dinner not included but is reasonably priced).

| Day 6 |
- Rise early and go up the Songsanling Tibetan Monastary.
- It's the largest Yellow Hat Sect monastary in the Tibetan region of Yunnan.
- It is the home to about 250 monks where you can see them doing their daily studies and rituals.
- Take the local bus with Tibetans from the Monastary to downtown Shangri-la (15 minutes).
- We will tour the main street of Shangri-la to see the daily life of its residents, then we go the the old town where we visit the viewpoint and the giant prayer wheel where you have a chance to wind up your karma.
- You then have free time on your own to have lunch and walk around the old town. We will show you some of our favorite lunch options. Free afternoon Meet for farewell dinner

- After breakfast we drive you to the airport and help you check in for your flight.
- We say goodbye at security. Fly from Zhongdian (Shangri-la) to Kunming (air ticket included)
