Chinese Culture Lessons and Tour
Study Chinese culture and go out in the field to see Beijing's historic and modern sights. A week of Chinese language and culture study in the morning (taught in English) is followed by afternoon outings. There is an option to live on campus in student housing or hotels beside the campus.

Day 3 | Beijing | •
8am - 10am: Beginning Chinese Language Class • 10am - 12 noon: Chinese Painting • Lunch • Hike on Mutianyu Great Wall, a superior section of the wall. • Ride the cable car high up onto the wall and take a thrilling toboggan sled track back down. • Visit the infamous Xiushui Silk Market (not a shopping factory). Free time so you can browse, shop for "name brand" items and souvenirs. A great chance to practice your Chinese numbers and hone your bargaining skills. You may get your own dinner in a western chain or local Chinese restaurant. • Our bus brings you back to campus | B-L |

8am - 10am: Beginning Chinese Language Class • 10am - 12 noon: Tai Chi level 1 • Lunch • Hutong Tour • Cycle rickshaw ride • Visit a traditional family courtyard home for a cup of tea - hear the drums play • Visit a Chinese kindergarten • The Drum Tower - hear the drums play and see the view around Beijing from the top • Walk along Houhai Lake and through the hutongs to Nanluoguxiang, a trendy old style district • Free time in Nanluoguxiang • Our bus brings you back to campus | B-L |
